Denny Weinberg
Mr. Weinberg is currently involved with land development projects, early stage companies and other investments and a variety of charitable organizations. Most recently Weinberg retired from a 20 year career with WellPoint (NYSE:WLP), after initially serving as a founding board member when WLP was first established, and at the end of his 20 year WLP Career, as President and Chief Executive Officer for ARCUS Enterprises, a WellPoint business development subsidiary.
During that 20 years, Weinberg held a variety of CEO, Group President, and Executive Vice President positions with WellPoint and affiliates. He developed and led the company's national expansion, initial Mergers and Acquisitions, Consumer products businesses, varied specialty businesses, and State and Federal Government Programs.
Prior to WellPoint, a variety of business consulting positions with the accounting firm of Touche-Ross and Company (currently Deloitte & Touche) in Chicago. Earlier, Chief Engineer and then General Manager for the CTX Products Division of Pet, Inc., an I.C. Industries Company, designing and manufacturing commercial computerized processing equipment.
Bachelors of Electronic Engineering from the University of Missouri in Columbia.
Granted US and foreign patents for electronic and heat process controls systems.
Other Activities include: Board, Nominating/Governance and Audit Committee Chair of Salem Communications Corp (Nasdaq: SALM). General Member of the development companies of FRWII, LLC, SkyView Development, LLC, Kalispell National Investment Company, LLC, North Flathead Lake Sales Company, LLC, and Allyson Aviation, LLC. Co-founder of Cornerstone Network Associates and Life Skills For American Families. Previous Board member for Colorado Springs based CEO Forum, Pepperdine Center for The Family, National Coalition for Protection of Families and Children, and Truth For Life ministry.
